Abstract
Over the past few decades, businesses around the world have undergone many changes. Customers and consumers are not completely satisfied with the current state of products and services, both in terms of quality and quantity. They expect manufacturers to provide high-quality and inexpensive products that can quickly adapt to changes in the environment. Looking at this change, manufacturers and economic enterprises have moved their production processes to project-oriented initiatives. Therefore, a large number of projects fail to deliver on time, with the desired budget and the level of quality expected by the customer. One of the most important reasons for their failure is poor financial support for projects, which can be attributed to the lack of following a standard methodology for implementing the desired projects. One of these methodologies is the use of the PMBOK project management standard. One of the areas of project management knowledge in this standard is project cost management. Cost management includes processes related to cost management planning, cost estimation, budget determination, and cost control so that the project can be completed on time and with the approved budget. This research is conducted at Karan Polymer Part Company, which is one of the manufacturers of door handles for cars made in Iran. The research method is applied and in terms of cost control and the method of data collection is descriptive-survey type, which was designed and presented after studying the subject literature and field studies and utilizing existing documents and the PMBOK project management standard in the aforementioned company and within the framework of the company's cost management and control, while designing, distributing, and completing questionnaires, templates, and sub-templates of cost management. The statistical population of the research is experts (managers and experts of Karan Polymer Part Company) and elites (university professors) in the fields of cost management and project management. To measure the validity of the questionnaires, the carcass calculation formula (above 0.6) and its reliability were obtained with the help of SPSS software and Cronbach's alpha calculation (above 0.7), and as a result, the validity and reliability of the questionnaires were confirmed with a high percentage. After completing the questionnaires by company experts and academic elites, a template and three sub-templates were designed and presented, each of which provides company managers with various processes and tools for selecting and monitoring the implementation of projects. By implementing this template and sub-templates, production managers in the company will be able to manage the cost, time, and quality of manufacturing each product in an integrated manner.
