New media can be studied in the form of social networks. Although a short time has passed since their emergence, they have attracted many users, and in the meantime, considering the infrastructure and the size of the existing population, Iranians have occupied the first to fifth places in the world, which is a matter of reflection. A significant number of Iranians are students and university graduates who have played an increasing and effective role in the form of reference groups in political, social, cultural, etc. issues. Reference groups, as one of the types of social groups, have played an effective role in guiding the process of forming attitudes, decision-making, and actions of individuals in societies, so that the environmental perception of these groups in society is the basis and criterion for judging and evaluating the work of social actors. Students, as one of the reference groups, have played an effective role in the developments of society. Understanding and examining the environmental perception of students as social network activists can inform crisis management agents about the current situation and future developments in the country. The present study has examined the current situation in the form of two questions: the extent of the impact of social networks on students' environmental perception and the impact of different levels of environmental perception on crisis management.
